some debugging remains

I finished updating gencal and everything looked great! All ready for the release of 2.0.0 alpha1!

But then I did a snap/restore. Woops! All the tags are gone!

So I think some work remains, even before the first alpha release. :-(

But methinks I'm getting close. ;-)
