email is working, faster

Email is working fine now, finally. Looks like I was writing code on a bad day when I should have been avoiding the computer--it took a while to find all the bugs.

I'm especially happy to report, again, that a long list of emails (84 today) displays quite quickly. So its fast enough to be usable, whereas it wasn't before.

I guess the next thing to work on is updating calendar.
