progress on the www.compstrm.org bug

I've been unable to reproduce this problem on my laptop. But after monitoring www.compstrm.org with a "tail -f twistd.log", it looks like the Yahoo web crawler is causing problems when attempting to access an outdated UUID--something I probably didn't test. :-(
